Als Senior-Experte Politik (all genders) treibst du das Wirken von ProVeg e.V. voran und sorgst dafür, dass die Protein-Diversifizierung in der politischen Landschaft in Deutschland aktiv unterstützt wird. Dabei bist du für die strategische Ausrichtung des Bereichs verantwortlich, pflegst und erweiterst dein Netzwerk, leitest die operative Umsetzung politischer Projekte und sorgst für eine transparente Dokumentation für Fördergeldgeber. Darüber hinaus vertrittst du den Bereich nach außen und analysierst kontinuierlich die Wirkung unserer Programme. Du arbeitest eng mit unserem Head of Institutional Engagement zusammen und übernimmst eine Führungsrolle für das Politik-Team.

Aufgaben

Strategie:

  • Entwicklung der Strategie für die politische Arbeit von ProVeg in Deutschland in enger Abstimmung mit dem Head of Institutional Engagement und dem Core Leadership Team.
  • Erarbeitung einer synergetischen Strategie für Politik und institutionelle Lobbyarbeit unter Berücksichtigung des Lobbyregisters.
  • Förderung der Entwicklung einer nationalen Strategie für die Protein-Diversifizierung gemeinsam mit externen Partnern 

Partnerschaften & Programme:

  • Repräsentation des Bereichs nach außen sowie gegenüber ProVeg International und externen Stakeholdern.
  • Ausbau und Pflege eines Netzwerks in Politik und Interessenverbänden.
  • Organisation von Netzwerk-Events und Formaten zum Wissenstransfer, teilweise in Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Organisationen.
  • Unterstützung der politischen Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem Communications-Team.
  • Verantwortung für die Umsetzung und das Reporting aktueller ProVeg-Aktivitäten innerhalb bestehender Förderprojekte.

Team-Management:

  • Leitung des Politik-Teams mit einer Teamgröße von 1-4 Personen (davon mindestens 1 Festangestellte:r).
  • Personal- und Budgetverantwortung für den Bereich (>50k).
  • Gestaltung und Verantwortung der OKR-Prozesse sowie Optimierung der Arbeitsabläufe zur Erreichung der ProVeg-Mission.
  • Zusammenarbeit mit dem Fundraising-Team zur Einwerbung von Drittmitteln und Stiftungsgeldern zur Refinanzierung des Bereichs.
  • Austausch mit anderen Abteilungen, internationalen ProVeg-Teams und NGOs zur effektiven Umsetzung gemeinsamer Projekte.
  • Erstellung von OKRs und Wirkungsberichten inklusive geeigneter Messparameter.
Anforderungen
  • Du hast eine Promotion oder mindestens einen Masterabschluss/Diplom in Politikwissenschaften oder einem vergleichbaren Fach.
  • Du bringst mindestens 10 Jahre Berufserfahrung mit, idealerweise mit Führungsverantwortung.
  • Du verfügst über fundierte Branchenkenntnisse in den Bereichen Alternative Proteine und Nachhaltigkeit.
  • Du hast ein belastbares Netzwerk in der Ernährungspolitik.
  • Du bist erfahren in der Entwicklung, Organisation und Moderation von Events.
  • Du arbeitest strukturiert, eigenverantwortlich und mit hoher Teamfähigkeit.
  • Du kannst komplexe Sachverhalte schnell erfassen und bist lernbereit.
  • Du verfügst über exzellente Kommunikationsfähigkeiten.
  • Du beherrschst Deutsch und Englisch auf C-Niveau.
  • Du identifizierst dich mit der Mission, Vision und den Werten von ProVeg International.

  • Je nach Qualifikation und Berufserfahrung bieten wir ein Jahresbruttogehalt zwischen 60.000 und 70.000 Euro.

Role Summary
As Senior Policy Expert (all genders), you will drive the work of ProVeg e.V. forward and ensure that protein diversification is actively supported within Germany's political landscape. You will be responsible for the strategic direction of the department, maintain and expand your network, oversee the operational implementation of political projects, and ensure transparent documentation for funding bodies. Additionally, you will represent the department externally and continuously analyze the impact of our programs. You will work closely with our Head of Institutional Engagement and take on a leadership role within the policy team.

Responsibilities
Strategy:
  • Develop the strategy for ProVeg’s political work in Germany in close coordination with the Head of Institutional Engagement and the Core Leadership Team.
  • Design a synergistic strategy for policy and institutional lobbying, considering the lobbying register.
  • Promote the development of a national strategy for protein diversification in collaboration with external partners.
Partnerships & Programs:
  • Represent the department externally, as well as within ProVeg International and to external stakeholders.
  • Expand and maintain a network in politics and advocacy groups.
  • Organize networking events and knowledge-sharing formats, sometimes in collaboration with other organizations.
  • Support political public relations efforts and work closely with the Communications Team.
  • Oversee the implementation and reporting of current ProVeg activities within existing grant-funded projects.
Team Management:
  • Lead the policy team, consisting of 1-4 members (at least one permanent employee).
  • Assume personnel and budget responsibility for the department (>€50k).
  • Design and manage OKR processes and optimize workflows to achieve ProVeg’s mission.
  • Collaborate with the Fundraising Team to secure third-party funding and foundation grants for the department’s refinancing.
  • Coordinate with other departments, international ProVeg teams, and NGOs to effectively implement joint projects.
  • Develop OKRs and impact reports, including appropriate measurement parameters.
Qualifications
  • You hold a PhD or at least a Master's degree/Diploma in Political Science or a related field.
  • You have at least 10 years of professional experience, ideally in a leadership role.
  • You possess in-depth industry knowledge in the fields of alternative proteins and sustainability.
  • You have a strong and reliable network in food policy.
  • You are experienced in developing, organizing, and moderating events.
  • You work in a structured, independent manner and demonstrate strong teamwork skills.
  • You can quickly grasp complex topics and have a strong willingness to learn.
  • You have excellent communication skills.
  • You are proficient in German and English at a C-level.
  • You identify with the mission, vision, and values of ProVeg International.
