Are you ready to change the food system for good? 

The Kickstarting For Good incubator is a 15-week programme designed to help mission-driven organisations and innovators create impactful initiatives in the food system. This programme provides you with the resources, mentorship, and funding needed to turn your vision into a reality.

With up to $200,000 available in funding, access to industry experts, and the opportunity to pitch your initiative on a global stage, this is your chance to accelerate your impact. Whether you already have a project in mind or want to explore one of our curated idea areas, we want to hear from you!

Programme Details:

  • Duration: 15 weeks, from Aug 04 - Nov 14

  • Funding: we award $200,000 in jury prizes to this years’ initiatives – ranging from $5,000 for graduating, through to $50,000, $40,000 and $30,000 as the top prizes as voted by our judges on pitch day

  • Location: Two in-person weeks in Berlin, Germany (travel & accommodation covered)


Responsibilities
What to Expect:
  1. Virtual Phase 1 (Aug 4 - Sept 4, 2025): Dive into the fundamentals of creating a successful, high-impact initiative. Start developing your idea with support from mentors and fellow cohort members.

  2. First In-Person Week in Berlin (Sept 4 - 10, 2025): A week of intensive workshops and mentoring to refine your idea, followed by feedback from experts to sharpen your proposal.

  3. Virtual Phase 2 (Sept 11 - Nov 6, 2025): Focus on developing your idea into a fully-costed proposal, with regular check-ins and deepening your skills in fundraising and scaling.

  4. Second In-Person Week in Berlin (Nov 8 - 14, 2025): Finalise your proposal and pitch presentation, and participate in one-on-one sessions with mentors to prepare for the pitch day.

Pitch Day & Graduation (Nov 14, 2025): Present your idea in front of a jury of experts, with the chance to win seed funding and further support for your project.

We’re looking for innovators, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits motivated to transform the food system. You can apply with your own idea or select from one of our curated idea areas, including:
  • Plant-Forward Policies
  • Corporate Engagement
  • Alt-Protein Innovation
  • Fish & Aquatic Animals
  • Documentaries
  • AI in Food Advocacy

Qualifications
  • A passion for driving meaningful change within the food transformation space.
  • Openness to collaboration, new ideas, and innovation.
  • Experience and track record as an entrepreneur, gained in the non-profit and social impact sector and/or for-profit organisations
  • Dedication to fully participating in the 15-week programme, including the Berlin residencies and then embarking on your own venture afterwards

ProVeg International is a food awareness organisation working to transform the global food system by replacing 50% of animal products globally with plant-based and cultivated foods by 2040.
