Database Fundraising & Member Services Manager (m/f/d)

Role Summary
The position Database Fundraising & Member Services Manager is responsible for the outcome/performance and staff coordination of 2 sections: 1. Database-Fundraising and 2. Member Services 
Section 1 entails managing fundraising programmes based on CRM/Database to increase the annual volume of small donations and memberships, plus supporting efforts to upgrade these to mid-level donations. This also includes managing the entire CRM software/tools and taking care of its ongoing maintenance. 

Section 2 contains members‘ retention/churn prevention, satisfaction and happiness via communication channels such as -mail, telephone, direct mailings and other fundraising-tools - with the umbrella goal of keeping a high satisfaction, in comparison to low processing time.

DFMSM works closely with other departments and fundraising staff members at the ProVeg office in Germany. The overall goal of the Fundraising department is to increase the number of members and donors.

Responsibilities
Database-Fundraising
  • Manage fundraising programmes to increase the annual volume of small donations and support its upgrading to mid level donors with activities for new acquisition, retention and win-backs of donors and members (sending out of receipts, and leading Easter, summer and other seasonal specials, Christmas campaigns, among others)
  • Provide CiviCRM first level support and coordination of analysis programmes and tools for statistics, as well as in-depth evaluation of fundraising successes
  • Provide first level support for relevant fundraising Tools (donation forms, CiviCRM interfaces etc.) and coordination with other agencies and providers
  • Ongoing data-management and corrections in cooperation with other team members

Member Services
  • Communicate with members and customers via e-mail, telephone and letters
  • Provide first level support to members and asses escalation to other teams if necessary
  • Support fundraising managers with administration routines along with the annual fundraising-plan
  • Manage ProVeg e.V.'s email communications with constituents, and act as the first point of contact of the organization to members, donors, and subscribers. This also entails managing leads.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with managing fundraising programmes and campaigns, especially in donor retention and upgrades
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with any CRM Software on a project management level 
  • Experience in working with people from different backgrounds and a strong commitment to equal opportunities
  • Strong collaboration and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a team and to develop and maintain positive employee relations
  • Experience in working with a charity and knowledge of NGO-sector-specific issues
  • Verbal and written German language skills
  • Good understanding of and alignment with ProVeg International’s vision and mission
  • Experience in working with people from different backgrounds and a strong commitment to equal opportunities
  • Self-starter personality with a curious nature and a drive to continuously optimise
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with an excellent eye for detail
  • A positive, proactive and enthusiastic work attitude

  • Willingness to undertake appropriate training as required

Preferred:
  • Experience in a same position in NGO-sector
  • Love routine administration work and communication to members/donors
