International Campaign Manager

Festanstellung, Vollzeit · Remote

Role Summary

ProVeg is expanding its campaign efforts, building on our public education, corporate outreach, and UN, EU and national policy initiatives.

We are looking for an inspiring campaigner to support our ambitious global campaign efforts to promote the reduction of animal consumption in line with our 5 Pros (Pro-Health, Environment, Animals, Justice, and Taste). The ideal candidate is a highly creative person with an outgoing, positive, hands-on and professional attitude, who has a track record of success of creating successful campaign plans (i.e. conceptualisation, planning, execution and collaborations with partners, monitoring and evaluation). The position requires flexibility and adaptability as political realities, public opinions, and business priorities often shift.

The Campaign Manager will report to the Head of Campaigns, and work collaboratively with other organising, communications, research, fundraising and web staff. They will provide strategic campaign guidance to the ten ProVeg country communication managers. The successful candidate will also work closely with allied organisations, influencers and thought leaders globally. The candidate will be responsible for representing ProVeg externally, to our supporters, and to coalitions, while networking with different stakeholders.

We’re looking for someone who’s eager to create change through communications, has extensive experience with PR and social media engagement, gets excited about developing and improving campaign concepts and is a real team player. Checking food development news on a daily basis is something you do anyway, and spotting campaign opportunities is always on top of your mind. Your ‘getting things done’ mindset is a major drive to get people on board with campaigns and you're keen to think outside of the box and inspire others.

The main campaign you will lead will be ‘Diet Change not Climate Change’. Other campaigns include, but are not limited to:

  • EU, UK, US and other regional or international policy campaigns.

  • other short-term campaigns, such as consumer surveys and B2C campaigns.

About us
ProVeg International is a food awareness organisation working to transform the global food system by replacing animal-based products with plant-based and cultured alternatives. We work with decision-making bodies, companies, investors, the media, and the general public to help the world transition to a society and economy that are less reliant on animal agriculture and more sustainable for all humans, animals, and our planet. We have offices in ten countries across four continents and are active around the world. ProVeg has a permanent observer status with the UNFCCC, special consultative status with ECOSOC, is accredited for UNEA, and has received the United Nations’ Momentum for Change Award.

We base our strategy on empirically-based evidence whenever possible. We seek to stay abreast of the latest research to inform our strategic considerations and outreach materials. We evaluate all of our programs to make sure we are allocating our resources in the best way to reach our goal.

ProVeg fosters a culture in which challenges become opportunities to learn and thrive. Because changing the global food system is a huge undertaking, we are looking for new team members who are pragmatic and professional and who are willing to step out of their comfort zone when needed. Critical problem-solving skills, team spirit, and creativity are all vital to accomplishing our ambitious goals.
