Reporting to: Vice-President ProVeg International
Location: US, UK or remote (home-based)
Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Salary: Commensurate with experience and location (if UK-based, between £30,000 and £35,000 “pro rata” adjusted for hours worked, and for local standards, if based in other countries)
Lead on research of a trusts and foundations pipeline, focusing on 5-6 figure opportunities
Lead on International funding proposals by collaborating with project and Executive teams for input and sign off
Provide support for large funding applications for country offices on an ad hoc basis
Advise Executive Team on invitation-only trusts and foundation opportunities their networking could help unlock, monitor and manage this process
Provide clear communication of ProVeg's mission, strategy, brand, and goals within proposals and cases for support
Identify suitable projects within the organization’s plan in order to build cases for support and satisfy funding opportunities and trends
Maintain and internal toolkit of fundraising cases for support and completed proposals, and assist the wider International Fundraising team with adapting trusts/foundations proposals into engaging fundraising content for other audiences
Work collaboratively to build the global fundraising infrastructure where relevant to trusts/foundations, including with the Operations Team (planning, finance, legal, monitoring, evaluation and learning, and internal communications)
Any other administrative or comparable support that may be required
If the candidate has experience of corporate fundraising, the scope of the position could be increased
Required:
2-3 years’ experience of trust/foundation fundraising at an NGO, preferably international.
A track record of identifying and securing significant, and/or multi-year, five-figure+ funds.
Evidence of successful proposal writing, from start to finish, as well as experience with writing concise reports.
Ability to turn numbers, outcomes and goals into a compelling story and case for support.
Excellent project management and organizational skills, including documentation of all work, with the ability to work collaboratively within a small, agile team.
Experience with project development, identifying new opportunities for fundraising and working with project teams to develop new cases for support
Excellent interpersonal skills, including confident demeanor and experience in engaging internal and external stakeholders.
Proactive and self-starter mentality
Strong motivation to support the plant-based movement and alignment of your values with those of ProVeg International.
Preferred:
Experience in applying for EU or other institutional funding opportunities
Knowledge of food systems, environmental, health or animal welfare funding landscape
Experience in representing a non-profit externally through relationship building with trustees and other donors and supporters
Wider experience in other types of fundraising such as corporate/major donor or digital fundraising
Formal membership of a professional fundraising body.
Communications, marketing or other relevant degree/background
Adherence to a plant-based diet and lifestyle.
Salary: dependent on experience and qualification.
